As my first post I wanted to go back to the day Ayden was born:) I had written a blog for my MySpace and every once in awhile I go back and read it to bring me back to the events of the day leading up to Ayden's birth. So I figured what better way to start this blog page with the blog I wrote that day, enjoy!

"Ayden Anthony Loiacono was born on June 12th, 2007 and he is such a cute little dude! He was born 9lbs, 7oz and was 21 ¾ inches long and best of all he was 100% healthy and we thank God for it! For those of you who don't know the story, I'll fill you in…I had landed in LA on Sunday evening, June 10th, after spending a great time with Amanda (still pregnant) in Charlotte, we took pictures and just spent quality time together…it was so nice. And then literally 24 hours after I landed in LA, Amanda calls me at 12:00am PST/3:00am EST and proceeds to tell me that her water had broke. Obviously I immediately went on the computer to buy the next flight, horrible thing was that the next flight going east was not until 7am PST, so I bought it and proceeded to wait, Amanda's mom took her to the hospital and I was still at the airport! My flight was non-stop and I landed in Charlotte at 2:30pm EST where my little brother picked me up and we went directly to the hospital, I had MADE IT IN TIME!!! We spent the next couple hours watching her contractions on the monitor, and then about 8:30pm she began pushing. She was so strong during it all and didn't punch me or yell at me once! The doctors were even commending her for how fast she delivered him, even though to her it felt like forever! And so our first son Ayden was born at 9:52pm and he was beautiful:) My parents made it right after Ayden was born and they were able to hold their first grandchild and we're so very proud. His eyes are blue, but they say those will change a little, and his hands and feet are huge. His feet were so big that they couldn't even fit the entire thing on one of those squares for "babies first foot print." We spent Tuesday and Wednesday night in the hospital and we took our baby boy home on Thursday afternoon! I was able to spend the next couple days with my family and then I headed back to LA on Sunday where I have been till now…Amanda and Ayden will fly out here to LA in the end of July where we will begin our new life as a family. God has given me such a wonderful gift in Amanda & Ayden and I could not ask for anything more, I love them both so very much!"
